Which other information is collected?

Upon accessing this website, your IP-address alongside the time and content or subject matter of your visit are recorded, as well as the respective data volume and whether or not your attempted access was successful. Temporary storage of your IP-address occurs to ensure the functionality of this website. This data is deleted upon completion of your access to this website, as it is no longer required for these purposes.

Server Logfiles

Upon accessing a website, our host’s webserver stores certain data in so-called “logfiles” (e.g.,the address of the accessed site (URL), the browser type used, the referrer, the time and date of access and system used by the visitor, etc.). They are not mixed or commingled with other data sources. In the event of any potential legal violation we expressly reserve the right to review and reasonable opportunity to cure.

User IP-addresses are thereby stored pseudonymized form to prevent identification of individual persons.

External Service Providers

To shorten user loading times and to increase the scope of functions, this website uses external services (e.g., APIs,CDNs, cards, JacaScript-libraries, etc.)  As a functional matter, this requires transfer of IP-addresses to these external service providers

We endeavour to select and only work with such providers who will only use IP-addresses to deliver content. In the following, you will find an overview of such services alongside respective opt-out links. 

External services also include the vCita patient portal, which processes personal data on our behalf (see section “Patient Portal”).

vCita Patient Portal

We use external service provider vCita Inc., 3400 Central Expressway, Santa Clara, CA 95051, USA, and vCita Ltd., Israel, for our patient portal. This portal facilitates communication with medical professionals, appointment bookings, and, to the extent necessary, the provision of treatment information.

All data entered there is transmitted in encrypted form and processed exclusively for its intended purposes. The processing of personal data in the vCita portal includes, in particular but without limitation, registration data (i.e., name, email address, telephone number), appointment bookings, uploaded medical documents, and completed questionnaires. The legal basis thereof is contained  Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and, insofar as health data is concerned, Article 9(2)(h) GDPR. Since vCita also transfers data to third countries (e.g., USA, Israel), we have concluded Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with vCita to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

Newsletter & Mailchimp

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address exclusively for sending our newsletter with information about our medical services, news, or related topics.

For sending the newsletter, we use Mailchimp, a service provided by Intuit Inc., 2700 Coast Avenue, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Data processing is based on your explicit consent in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a of the GDPR.

The data you enter during registration (e.g., your email address and optionally your name) is stored on Mailchimp’s servers in the USA. Mailchimp uses this information to send and analyze the newsletter on our behalf. We have concluded a corresponding data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) with Mailchimp.

Mailchimp stores statistical information about user behavior (e.g., open rates, click-through rates). This analysis helps us improve our content. Your data will not be shared with third parties.

You can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time, for example, via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
