Before Your First Appointment

No. You can book your appointment directly through our website – without a referral and without a prior visit to your general practitioner or gynaecologist. Scheduling an appointment is straightforward an easy, fitting flexibly into your schedule.

The type of blood tests you should have done before your first appointment depends on the type of appointment you’ve chosen. You can always find the required values listed again on our overview page for each respective consultation.

After booking your appointment, you will receive access to your personal patient portal via vCita. Once there, you can easily upload your blood test results, doctor's letters, and other medical documents – securely and encrypted.

Treatment & Therapy

After booking your appointment, a detailed initial consultation will take place via video call. During this consultation, your symptoms, pre-existing conditions, medications and your current lab results will be discussed with. If medically indicated, an individually tailored hormone therapy plan can be initiated immediately – you will receive the prescription digitally, and the medication can be delivered to your home upon request. Follow-up appointments to monitor progress are scheduled and billed separately.

Bioidentical hormones have the same chemical structure as the hormones that your body produces naturally. They act on the same receptors as your body's own hormones and are considered extremely well-tolerated when used correctly. Your doctor will make every treatment decision individually based on your personal health situation.

This once widespread concern stems from a highly flawed, now mostly dismissed 2002 study that was not conducted with bioidentical hormones but with outdated synthetic hormones. According to current research, modern bioidentical hormone therapy, when used correctly, does not increase the risk of cancer. As with any treatment, there are individual contraindications, and your doctor will carefully review these with you during your initial consultation.

 

The first follow-up appointment usually takes place after 8 to 12 weeks. During this appointment, we will discuss how you are tolerating the therapy and whether any adjustments may be necessary. If the therapy remains stable, then follow-ups every six months are usually sufficient.

In General

The cost depends on the appointment format and duration of the consultation you’ve selected. You’ll receive a complete and transparent price overview during the booking process before you reserve your appointment. Billing is based on the German Fee Schedule for Physicians (GOÄ).

These are private medical services. Reimbursement via statutory or publig health insurance is usually not possible. After your appointment, you’ll receive an invoice in accordance upon request. Partial or full reimbursement by your private health insurance cannot be guaranteed. Please check with your health insurance provider beforehand.

Our consultations are currently conducted in English, German, Italian and Russian. Please indicate your preferred language when booking your appointment, and we will make sure to assign you a suitable doctor.

Online consultations are perfectly suitable for the vast majority of our patients. In certain cases, however, an in-person doctor’s visit may become medically necessary. However, in certain situations, an in-person doctor's visit is necessary. Should this apply to you, your doctor will explicitly inform you during your consultation. Your health and safety always take priority.
